============================================
On Sunday 7th December our Bowness Church will hold its last Service.
This may appear to be a very sad occasion but the members of Bowness have decided unanimously that they will join with their friends from Windermere this will enhance their mission and give a real sense of being one Church in the community. The ultimate aim is to either build a new Church in the community or work more closely with our friends from Carver URC. Both of these options will be loked at in detail over the next few months. If you are visiting over Christmas, come and join our worship at Windermere, we would love to see you.

Ambleside Methodist Church was full to capacity with some 200 people on Sunday afternoon for the final service before the congregation move to temporary accomodation in anticipation of their move into their new building in March 2006. Past minsters and friends from far and wide came to this event to give the old premises a good send off and pray for the congregation at Ambleside as they take this enormous step of faith.
The 'Home Housing Association' will take possession of the buildings on September 1st to begin conversion into 13 units of low cost social housing for local residents.

"Vision 2005"
Our Circuit Day
(10-04-05)
About forty people gathered at Bowness Methodist Church on Saturday April 9th to share in a day with David Emison (District Chair) and Paul Dunstan (District Evagelism Enabler). This was the culmination of a series of group meetings around the Circuit based on "Presence" a workbook to help promote effective Christian presence in rural areas.
Each of our five churches presented its targets for the next twelve months and these were celebrated in an act of worship. David then led us in some biblical reflection on the theme of God's Presence with us and after lunch Paul helped us to think about our strategy for practical outreach in the community.
